Problem

Traditional lifeguard training relies heavily on manuals and passive learning, making it difficult for learners to stay engaged, retain information, and track their progress. Existing training experiences also lacked opportunities for collaboration and accessible, on-the-go learning.

Solution

Azul is a digital learning platform designed to make lifeguard training more interactive and accessible. I helped shape the product strategy and MVP around scenario-based learning, active recall, quizzes, progress tracking, and gamification.

Using user research and feature prioritization, we focused the experience on helping learners practice key concepts, receive immediate feedback, and stay motivated through rewards and progression.
